Making A PurchaseMaking a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog, and when you've found the item you want, click Add to Shopping Basket. Then click Confirm. You can add as many items as you like. You can always check to see what you've selected so far by clicking the Shopping Basket icon. After you have finished your selection, click the Checkout icon. You will be asked for information such as your name, address and credit card number. You will also be able to select any options for shipping and VAT.

Prices are shown in pounds sterling. If you are shopping from outside the UK, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency.

Payment - we accept Visa and MasterCard. You will be given the choice of sending the card details securely encrypted over the Internet or sending them separately via phone, fax or mail. There is also the option of having us send you (by fax) a pro-forma invoice and you arranging payment separately before the goods are dispatched.

Note at all stages of the on-line ordering process you can change your selection or cancel. Also see the Guarantee section about cancellation after receipt of the goods.

Shipping And HandlingUK orders: For small items the price includes postage by 1st class mail. If purchase value is in excess of £20.00 we use recorded 1st class delivery. We use our UK courier if consignment weight is in excess of 2 kg. For an additional charge of £3.00 + VAT we ship using Special Delivery, the Royal Mail guaranteed next working day delivery service with compensation for lost or damaged items. For next working day delivery on orders greater than 2kg, the additional charge is £7.50 + VAT. All 'next working' day orders should be placed before 2pm.

EC orders: (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Irish Republic, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, & Sweden) price includes delivery by express airmail for consignments weighing less than 2kg. Delivery for consignments of greater than 2kg are made by our carrier Global express service for which charges are applicable. These are detailed during the order finalisation process.

Rest of world: The shipping charge will depend on the country and will be displayed when finalising your order, or you will be directed to contact us. If in the shipping section you cannot select your country, the on-line catalogue is unable to calculate your shipping charge, so please select "Other" and we will advise you of the charge by e-mail and only process your order if you confirm the charge is acceptable.

Delivery ScheduleWe process your order right away. We will normally ship your order to you withinin 2 business days . International orders are generally received in under 7 days. If shipping is likely to take longer we will notify you by e-mail.

Back OrdersIf your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax ChargesFor orders made from the UK or the European Community, 17.50% VAT is added. Where exemptions apply and for all orders from outside the European Community you should click the exempt button to reduce VAT to zero.

Orders from EC VAT registered businesses that do not wish to be charged VAT should e-mail or fax us with their full business address, VAT number and the order number given on the confirmation screen at the end of the on-line ordering process.

Customers outside the EC will be responsible for any local import duty and/or tax.

Credit Card SecurityWe know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site. The 'Golden Padlock' symbol towards the bottom right of your screen when credit card details are being processed is your guarantee that encryption is in operation. GuaranteeAll of our products come with at least a one year guarantee. The guarantee does not apply to: a) batteries, whether contained in a unit or sold individually; b) units that have been subjected to misuse, negligence, accident or improper maintenance or application; c) humidity sensors damaged by contact with salt water; d) units which have been repaired or altered without our prior consent. If a unit is deemed to be defective it should be returned to Richard Paul Russell Limited. The guarantee does not affect the buyers' statutory rights. If for any reason you have a complaint we will endeavour to respond within five working days of receiving the complaint.

Returns PolicyWe guarantee your satisfaction. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, you can cancel your order within 7 working days from the day after the goods were received by e-mailing us at sales@r-p-r.co.uk. The goods should be returned at the customers expense and be in a resaleable condition and in the original packaging. On receipt of the returned goods a refund of the purchase cost will be made within 30 days.
